Finding new music
it’s nearly always a serendipitous journey with elements of delight when i find new music. here’s one example:
on its rerelease in the late 1990s, receive a promo copy of the album quique by seefeel (i was then writing a music blog). back in january of this year I buy an actual copy from amazon; amazon autorecommends soundpool. listen to previews of soundpool stuff on iTunes and like it. get some used discs from 3rd party sellers on amazon. want more and get it directly from brainwashed, which treat me to a surprise of two discs from (the shoegaze/80s band) ceremony, whom i’d never heard of. kind of like them so read a review on tiny mix tapes, learning that their founder left fredricksburg for brooklyn to form skywave and then a place to bury strangers. had never heard of either band. find the self-titled album from a place to bury strangers on bandcamp, and get it. really nice album: http://aplacetoburystrangers.bandcamp.com/
